Comments: Hello,
Have you been looking for a fun get-away for a group of friends? Well, you have found the spot!
We recently held our 'Bunco Girls Reunion' at The Housley House and really had a fun time playing our characters during the Murder Mystery. The hosts, Teresamarie and Don, are very down to earth and we felt welcomed from the beginning of our stay until we walked out the door after checkout time.
The breakfast was as delicious as other reviews said it would be. I look forward to returning to this B&B in the warmer months so I can enjoy the outside English Garden and the shops in downtown Grand Rapids. Speaking of shops; Teresamarie and Don are opening Miss Lilly's just down the street in a few short months which should be a nice complement to their B&B and the total Grand Rapids experience. I look forward to stopping in and checking out their new endeavor soon!

Comments: My husband and I were looking for a quiet peaceful place where we could relax and get away from our busy hectic life. Although it was only 1 1/2 hours from our home, we felt like we found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. We loved EVERYTHING about The Housley House!
Our two night stay was delightful. Our hosts were so gracious and by the time we left on Tuesday, it seemed like we knew Teresa Marie and Don all our lives.
We stayed in the Dillen Room. The room was furnished with beautiful antiques, as was the entire house. The Housley House is exceptionally clean; well decorated; welcoming; comfortable; friendly--all the attributes you look for in a getaway.
My husband and I spent a lot of time swinging on the huge front porch, surrounded by the beautifully decorative gardens. The view and peacefulness of the Maumee River brings a soothing and romantic experience to this setting.
From the moment Tom & I stepped into this place, we felt as though our hosts bent over backwards to make this a truly relaxing and inviting place. I can tell Teresa Marie takes pride in creating the homemade breakfasts and evening treats she serves as each came out as a work of art and tasted fabulous (oatmeal pancakes with fresh blueberry syrup, scone with orange glaze, blueberry bread pudding, strawberry shortcake) Yum!!!
To top it off, Teresa Marie directed us to area attractions such as the Isaac Ludwig Mill and Providence Metro Park historical mule drawn canal boat ride. She also printed us off discount coupons for our evening dinner with friends.
This area of Ohio is just beautiful and having the Maumee River across the street just adds to the charm. We found the entire experience most outstanding and we are looking forward to attending one of the upcoming events planned.
When you stay at the Housley House, you will be intrigued by the amazing story of the paths that led Teresa Marie and Don to Grand Rapids and proud owners of the Housley House. Don't forget to ask about the matching candelabras.

Comments: We had a spectacular time at the Housley House. The food, linens, setting, porch, decor, company were all so wonderful. We really enjoyed the "after dinner socializing" with the hosts, Don and Theresamarie. This bed and breakfast defines the experience that all others can be measured by. We highly recommend it to all who desire a fun, cool getaway. The town is so quaint and has a very rich historical history that can be enjoyed by families or couples. There are many shops along Main street to explore along with the river and canal areas for quiet walks or sitting in the swings listening to the birds. We will return. Thank you!!!!!

Comments: The Houseley House was perfect for my surprise trip for my fiance's birthday. I took him to this B&B and it was our first time staying at such a place. It was beautiful and historically decorated and Don and Teresa Marie were so accommodating. Breakfast was great in the morning and we felt like we were in a private, quiet and quaint room (not disturbed by anyone). Thank you for providing such a beautiful destination and experience for my fiance and I.

Comments: Our garden club visited Teresa Marie and Don this past weekend. A beautiful home, but more important warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming because of the hosts. We had the girls' night package with gourmet pizza, wine, a movie, and delicious apple dumplings...and a great massage (thanks, Jen). You can enjoy the river, canoe, visit the mill, ride a canal boat, shop, visit Woods County Historical society, have a tea or wine tasting, and Kitty Todd nature preserve. Teresa Marie is very open to what you have in mind and does everything to make your visit a resounding success. She can also do great photographs. Thank you both, Teresa and Don =) Marge Howard

Comments: We have stayed in many B&B's and while most have great amenities, interesting history, good food, ect., none have had people such as Don and Teresa Marie as proprietors. We have never felt so "at home" as we did at the Housely House. We felt as if we were visiting long lost friends. From the hot apple dumplings in the evening to the delicious breakfast everything was perfect. Best of all, however, were the relaxing times we had in conversation with Don and Teresa Marie. Thanks again! Beth can't wait to bring our daughter back for a special weekend just for the two of them.

Comments: A group of us love getting away together and we have never stayed at a B&B. My wife went on line and saw that the Housley House did Murder Mysteries and so we booked the whole house for our group. What fun we had! Don and Theresa Marie were great hosts. The food, the wine and LaRoe's were pleasant surprises. We dressed up, had wine and cheese at the B&B then walked down to LaRoes restaurant for dinner. We had so much fun having everyone watch us. It was alot of fun and we will be back for their April fool's day Murder mystery. We are all teachers and faculty and would highly recommend the Housley House Bed and Breakfast to anyone. It is remarkably clean, the food is unbelieveable and the hosts spoil you.

Comments: We celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Housley House over the weekend and it was amazing. The room was beautiful, comfortable, modern and historic all at the same time. The view can't be beat. The food was to die for and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time so much, we are making up reasons to go back!

Comments: Gary and I chose the Housley House B&B as the location for our wedding and honeymoon and it was perfect!! There is absolutely NOTHING that TeresaMarie or Don could have done to make our stay any more memorable or more amazing! Teresa anticipated our every need and want and provided before we even knew we wanted it! She is the queen of spoiling and I can't recommend the Housley House any more highly. She gave life to my dream wedding by performing our ceremony at sunset in the softly lit English Garden...I will never forget how wonderful she made our stay. We didn't want to leave and actually stayed a second night; unwilling to leave the beautiful house and our gracious hosts. We will most certainly be returning soon!
