The Housley House Policies

  • We are a completely non-smoking home, smoking is allowed outdoors only.
  • Breakfast for non-guests / extra guests is $15 and requires an advanced notice.
  • Rates are based on double occupancy (single occupancy for business rates).  An extra person / bed is $25 per night and includes breakfast.

  • This is our home, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
  • We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles or for loss of money or valuables of any kind.
  • You are welcome to enjoy anything purchased from our local pub anywhere on our property, however we do have limitations.
  • A major credit card is required to secure your stay - you may pay with an alternate payment at checkout.  We accept cash and most major credit cards.

 Business Traveler Policy

Check In / Check Out
     Check in is from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm.  Please let us know in advance if you plan to arrive after 11:00 pm to ensure that someone will be available to greet you.  Check out is at 11:00 am.

Minimum Stay
     Minimum stay requirements vary, but a two night minimum stay may be required on holidays and during special events.  Rooms are available for 1 night stays on weekends.

Cancellations and No Shows
     Because of our small size, cancellations and no shows affect us significantly.  For this reason, cancellations must be made ten days prior to the date of arrival to avoid a charge.

     In the event we are able to rebook the room for the duration of your booking, there will be no charge.  If a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or contact us to cancel, they will be charged for the full amount of the stay.

Pets
     We are sorry to report that we can no longer accept pets at The Housley House but please call and we may bend on this.

Parking
     The parking is limited to guests only as we have only one parking space per room. Please let us know in advance if you will need parking for more than one vehicle.

     Parking for our guests is provided in the lot behind our English Garden.  It is a stone parking lot beside the black topped funeral home parking lot.  Please park there and come in through the English Garden to the back door where there are no steps to enter or park across the street and come up to the side porch and knock on the door.

 

Lenient Cancellation Policy
     Having traveled for work for many years, we both know that the business traveler cannot always predict where and when they will need to be. 

     Because of this we offer the business traveler a relaxed cancellation and change policy.  If for any reason your plans change, contact us by noon on the day prior to the date of your scheduled arrival to cancel or change your plans (based on availability) without penalty. 

     Of course the travel must have been booked under the Business Traveler package by phone to qualify for this accommodation and you must have a confirmation number that refers to a business booking to qualify.

Flexible Breakfast Arrangements
     We know that you may need to hit the road early, no reason to do that on an empty stomach!  We are happy to provide breakfast as early as 5am for the business traveler.  Please let us know of this request no later than the day prior to your stay.

Complimentary Wi-Fi
     Our home is wired with high speed internet and we are happy to offer free Wi-Fi access to our guests.  We also have a computer available for your use in our office.

Peace and Quiet
     Best of all, we are happy to provide you with a quiet and luxurious atmosphere to unwind after your hectic work day.  Enjoy a glass of wine in the English Garden or relax on the side porch while enjoying a rocking chair with a magazine.  Take a few minutes for yourself, we won't tell.
